The end!

After cue jumping, running for our flight, getting mis-led in Miami, and 24 hours of travelling we finally make it home alive and well, with all bags and a little less sanity! End of an era 💙

Last full day!

Absolutely beautiful views today! Paradise beaches, swimming with turtles and travelled up to the highlands to get the panoramic views and see the tortoise! Cannot get over how blue the water is here!

Galapagos again!

2nd day! Up at 5am to get the boat back to Santa Cruz! We walked along a beach that looked like paradise and I kayaked in the bay and saw white tip sharks!!

Charles Darwin Research Centre

Walked to the centre seeing iguanas and bright red crabs along the way, and saw the tortoises, which are apparently very small for their species! The tortoises are in captivity here, not wild.

Galapagos!

First full day in Galapagos spent trekking round a volcano crater - last erupted in 2005, then on to some snorkelling!
Seals and iguanas everywhere!

Teleferico!

Took a cable car up to the top today! Gorgeous views over Quito and did a little horse riding!

Last day teaching!

Last day teaching today! Can't believe how quick this week has gone, the school surprised us today with a traditional dance by the kids! We joined in a little at the end and they also gave us a certificate each for teaching! It's been a lovely week and I think they've all really enjoyed it and hope we return!

When in Quito!

Back to civilisation! Had a night out, began teaching English at the school, eaten guinea pig and been to the middle of the earth!

Saying goodbye to the tribe!

Enjoyed watching a traditional tribal dance and playing with the kids on our last night! Also received a chonta wood spear as a gift from the tribe!

Just a standard day at the tribe...

Getting to know my way around a machete! We also built fires!

Tribal times!

From tribal face paint, lugging bamboo and cooking our food in banana leaves, I won't forget this place anytime soon!

Shuar Tribe!

New den in the Shuar Tribe! No mattresses to be seen!
