Alpaca farm

Took a trip to see the alpaca farm today, stopped on the way to see an inca fortress which had some amazing views! We were shown how the locals use a parasite of a cactus, grinding it and treating it with water or lemon juice to produce 17 different shades of red to dye the alpaca wool! Really interesting! All the produce is so soft.. A lot more expensive than the market standard!

Last Spanish lesson!

Had our last Spanish lesson today and then went for a meal to experience traditional Peruvian food.. Pigs trotters, some form of pork, a potato dish and stuffed peppers, and some pastry dipped in honey for dessert which was really nice :) this is the two others in my group and my teacher Ricado

A proper lunch!

After bread and jam for tea last night the girls thought we better have a proper lunch! Didn't exactly soak up the culture.. We went to Paddys.. The Irish bar! So so yummy though.. Shame I'm not on the picture!
